The differential cover to the rear is leaking. Has any one had this and figured out a good way to fix the leak?

I get about 1-2 drops per day. I used some rtv to seal the leak without taking the cover out but it leaks after a few weeks. Looks like there isn't enough clearance to get the cover removed without dropping the transmission.
