Front Wheel rattle
Hi Guys
I have just had the ball joints replaced on my 1984 944lux as one was worn and there was a rattle coming from the front drivers side wheel.
Now the handling is better but i still get a rattle from the front drivers side wheel, its not as bad as before, and you can only hear it after the car has travelled a couple of miles ?? also you can make it click when you initially apply the brakes.
Can anyone tell me what i should be looking for to diagnose what this is please

jack the front of the car up.
and rotate the wheel, listen for any really loud scraping metalic noise
then hold the wheel at the 2.45 oclok position and wiggle it and also at the 6 oclock postion.
should not have any play, a slight ammount maybe ok.
if these fail, your looking at replacing "or" tigtening (carefullY) the wheel bearings
