Thumbs up 944 Memories

Hello Water Coolers: After owning a clean 89 944 for several years ( red @ linen ) I must admit I miss that car. I now have a 80 911SC that I love equaly but is an altogether different car. If I had a bigger garage?? An S2 or 968 might find a new home. It seems a clean S2 can be picked up for around 10K that I feel is a bargain, a lot of bang for the buck. Really what can you buy for that money?. The Dash lines and the shift linkage are second to none, to name a few memories.
Enjoy the ride, Bob <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" /> <img src="graemlins/wave.gif" border="0" alt="[byebye]" />

We try not to let the 911 owners know how much fun you can have with a Porsche that costs under 10 grand! Shhhhh!

Reminds me of the Frito-Lay commercial with the Eskimo - "If I give one to you then I have to give one to everybody!"

Happy hunting! And don't forget to change those belts!

Good deals sure are out there Bob. I bought my 90 S2 Cab for 9,000. Had a new top and a gazillion Porsche Service reciepts so the guy seemed to have done everything right. To tell you the truth, it just needed to be thuroughly cleaned inside and out and the real beauty came through. AutoTrader.com has a lot and also check on ebay. You might have to drive to get it, but S2's are worth it!

it depends if your preference is NA or turbo cars.

Personally, I would go with the 951 without a doubt. You could pick a good one up for about 7-8K, and spend an extra 2K or so on mods. A 951 with about 320-350 HP daily driver would be sweet <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />
