Post Guru for S2

Someone posted a thread sometime ago, about a guru for the S2 engine's.I think he lives in MASS. and worked on the Firehawk series racecars. He's able to squeeze out 250 hp with some blueprinting, balancing, and some other minimal engine work.Rumors had it he's able to top near 300hp for $10k.Does anyone know of such a master, and is he still working his magic??

You're thinking of Jon Milledge.

I've been corresponding with a new S2 owner from Minnesota who claims his mechanic is going to give him 260 or more HP after his engine rebuild... and he's only paying $6K, and that includes a new clutch, new A-arms, and other suspension stuff. I'm very skeptical of this, but he says this guy knows all the secrets of these engines... and is the personal mechanic for the Johnson Wax family Ferraris or something like that.

We shall see...

Thanks George for the website.

Tom,Keep us posted about your friends S2 progress.I also would be interested in how he will be able to squeeze 260hp on that budget.

Hmmm... for that much money, why not just supercharge the car, and get more HP than 260?

You wouldn't need to tear down and rebuild the engine either.

If I recall correctly, aren't there two vendors out there that build (or are still working on building) supercharge kits for the S2?

What type of engine mods is this guy doing? Different pistons? Bigger displacement (i.e. bigger bore or longer stroke)? Ported and polished heads? Header? 3-inch exhaust? Curious minds want to know...
