Post throttle response cam

I see and hear a lot about throttle response cams. Does anyone have one and are they worth buying?

It will give you a better feel for the throttle than the stock part. Just about everybody who sells Porsche aftermarket stuff will carry them. It should cost you about $35 (Paragon).

it chages the throttle response to a 1:1 ratio. so your pedal distance will actually be shorter. it's quick and easy to install helps if you have a second person to push the pedal all the way down so you can set the tention on the cable and the pedal stop inside the car. beware that this does increaase fuel consumtion as you are way more likely to "floor" it. Surf arround a bit you could pick one up for arround $20 with shipping

Is a throttle response cam available for the 944 S2?

The listings I have run across have specifically excluded the S2 but I have not yet found a specific reason for this exclusion.

Not for the S2 or Turbo - the throttle cam profile on those cars is already linear (the effect of the round throttle cam)

The same is true of the 944S as well correct? That the throttle cam already has a linear ratio? I was looking to do the swap but someone told me it wasn't necessary because of the current cam's profile
