noisy exhaust???
na model....my exhaust sounds noisy to me but some say its supposed to sound this way.. do 944s sound much louder than american cars??? i was told europian cars are much louder??? anyway i dont like it very much i want it quit. i think it sounds like a junky car this way. any suggestions???

Any idea if its still the stock exhaust? If its an aftermarket, it will definately be louder. Or the exhaust could be so old that its grown louder. You could check out ebay for a used stock exhaust, this could fix it.

Never having heard a US car,
I cant compare but my S2 <with CAT> (And no blowing or problems) Does have a higher meatier exhaust note when compared to other cars even 3ltr jobbies
of course make sure NOTHING is blowing, is it a rattle or just a very LOUD tone ???

Adrian, you have found a decent group of people mad about Porches, unfortunately (for you), most of us live in the US.
riggs, ditto, is it the OEM exhaust on your car, or aftermarket. What year? Do you have a euro, or american NA. I once came across a beautiful 87 928 S4, but the guy had installed a loud *** mega phone exhaust pipe that took all the nice things about the car away.
