I have heard of a couple of guys running megasquirt, and I only have paid attention to that system, as I installed megasquirt many years ago on my Datsun Z car. If I recall correctly I had less than 20 wires running the entire engine....far simpler than the Bosch L jetronic...easy to tune and modify as well.

It sounds like its worth spending the money for a better more manageable system, especially sence i want to run a modified version of the 83 944 Callaway turbo setup.
