Default are parts interchangeable from 84 to 85?

i have an oppotunity to get an 84 and a non running 85 944. are the following parts interchangeable?
engine?
tranny?
clutch?
fans?
brakes?
fuel rail with regulator and damper?
throttle body?
dash?
the 85 is really messed up but body seem straight.
both were driven by young 16 year old and the other one 18year old.
didn't take care of it just drove it to the ground. no maintenance records

would doing the timing belts on an 84 easier than an 85 or are they the same?
TIA
Carl

If it's an 85.1 (round gauges that look like the '84), everything is the same. If it's an oval dash car, then the mechanicals are OK (sans fuel rail, and AFM, but the electronics are different.

the 85 has an oval dash.
great news thanks. how about the arms?
i guess that would be with the mechanical side too....
for 800 i think i can get my money's worth on this and scrap the rest of the body.

HArd parts suspension can interchange ...the air flow meter comp ( ecu) fuse box fuel rail and damper ect differnet in the early car.

Suspension parts can be upgraded
timing belt job (the same )
trans speedo driven from front wheel on the early cars
