Hi all
I am a long time rennlist user but this is my first 944 post, I am a Porsche 928 retiree who is looking to buy a 944.
I got a question:
I have seen some Porsche 944 with a Large PORSCHE lettering between the taillights. Please see the attachment. Is this a modification or a factory option?
Thank you'

I've got the "944" center piece. It's lit too. For some reason it's in perfect condition despite its Arizona life. I love it! ![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
As for info on these center pieces:
-It is aftermarket, meaning 80's aftermarket. Haha seemed very popular, to the point where I suspect it was a dealer installed thing.
-In order to install one, you must drill a series of holes, like 5 or something, and rivet it into place. That's why people don't generally take them off (unless you have those nekkid lady trucker silhouette stickers - they appear to cover up the holes perfectly
but that's another story... [SOMEBODY WHO KNOWS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT POST A LINK!])
