Suspension overhaul, rookie
I finally got my 1987 944 running. I had never changed a cars oil but I jumped straight into changing a head gasket which took me far too long. But now she's running, not perfectly, but she's running. I'm ordering brakes and installing them this fall so I can take her to college.
My next project will be suspension. I just got out of my friends modified subaru wrx. Its not my preference of cars but it corners like a dream. It made me realize how badly my suspension has been worn. My car will be a track (HPDE and potential autocross) and DD car. What do I need to do to get my suspension updated? I'm going will coilovers on all four corners. Do I delete the torsion bars? Do I need new bushings? Should I get 1,2 or 3 way adjustable coilovers? Should I go ahead and do sway bars if everything is out? What type of sway bars?
I am a college kid on a college budget so cost is quite a large factor. My toolbox consists of a socket set, torque wrench, and screw drivers so if there's any other tools I'll need, please let me know.

It all depends on your budget. You can start w/just replacing the worn components with new original, or you can go crazy. Here is a link to the total car setup for a spec car. Suspension would be stiff for DD, but good fot HPDE http://members.rennlist.com/m758/car-set-up.htm
