Default E30 325is vs 944S? something of an intro

I've been an E30 guy for years and years, and my old room mate was a porsche guy. He has had awesome luck with his p-cars, and I have had mostly good luck with reliability in the e30's (owned maybe 6 with LSD's....only ones worth mentioning). My last 325IS (my 1990) would embarrass 5.0 mustangs if they were anything close to stock, frequintley. So I finally said "enough e30's, time for a porsche" (mostly b/c I cant find a clean one to do an s50 swap reasonably close or cheap). Funny thing happens when you aren't looking for anything in particular, half of the time you end up finding exactly what you are looking for, which for me is a 1987 944S with 130k and zero maintance records. oh well, with a good visual inspection I'll buy it (10 hour round trip, and I'm going with my old porcheaphile roomie who DD's a 968 and also has a 951 as well as his 85.5 na toy).

Here she is:

For a sunday/ early day off car, I am very used to the low down M20 tq and oversteer that makes a day off worth having.

here is my usual rolling stock:

My AWD 325IX which destroyed everything ever in the snow:
and my last 325IS with the 968:

So, what say you 944 guys? 944S or e30 325IS?

I have a 90' 325IS with some suspension mods. Great car. It keeps up with 944na's on the track and more practical.

Ahhh, the E30...

I have the same problem, BOTH is always the right answer.

But if you don't need the back space 944S all day long.

Sorry but the E30 is downright hideous compared to a 944S.

Now a E24, NOW there is a car!
