Default 944 test pipe question

if I take the cat off and put a test pipe on with the stock muffler on an 86na, will I lose stability of my low idle?

Probably not, but it's going to make more noise.

Thanks Ron, but I want too know if it will affect low idle after a long warm up drive. I had done it to a 90 eclipse once and the low idle could not stabilize, yet the increased power was amazing. Anyone out there tried taking off the cat and putting a 2. 5 inch test pipe on an 86 944 Non turbo? with stock muffler and stock 2.5 inch exhaust thoughout.

I know you asked about a 944NA. I had the Bursch test pipe w/stock muffler & exhaust on my 951 for about 8 months. The car still idles perfectly.

Keep the O2 sensor and you'll be fine.
