Default Fuel pressure regulator failure in open position

Can a fuel pressure regulator failing in the open position cause the injectors to be shut down by the DME?

If the FPR fails the car will run very rich, but should still run. You may want to post this in the 924/44/68 forum under Water Cooled section. There's a lot more traffic there.

Yes the injector driver can shut down the injectors if they have to much resistance trying to open because of very high pressure! The simple procedure is to un-plug one injector and while it runs rough on 3 cylinders it will run now because the driver only has to open 3 injectors and can handle that!
