Hey guys,
Will a 2.7 liter SOHC block fit nicely in a 1984 Porsche 944? I'm wondering if the engine is identical in every way to the 2.5, other than displacement. If that's the case, I'd like to start looking on eBay for a core that I can use to rebuild (one of these days). I assume all it needs is slightly larger injectors?
Thanks!!!
Todd

I am pretty sure you will need the DME and AFM from the '89 motor aswell.
The fuel injectors are also unique to the 2.7L motor.
2.7L engines are hard to come by as the cylinder heads are pretty sought after. For the work of swapping in that motor, you may consider doing a 968 3.0L instead. Granted it will cost you between $3-4k to buy one..but you will be getting another 75-85hp out of it.
