Default S2 Oil Filter

I already bought two oil filter wrenches today an neither work (a regular oil filter wrench (doesn't fit) and a spider model (won't grab the filter enought to twist it). Anyone know the best wrench or the proper size for an S2 filter is I am going to use the top cap type wrench?

Since I always use Porsche filters on the car, I went to Checker Auto (O'Reilly has em too) and bought a filter removal "socket". It's a cap that fits over the end and has a half-inch drive hole in the end.

It makes getting the filter off more easy, and helps to reduce the amount of oil I spill since I can spin it faster when loose.

Was the socket a specific size? The Pep Boys near me has several versions of a socket type wrench but I don't know which one will properly fit on the filter.
