Default Cam chain jumps

Just rebuilt the head and got new cam chain and tensioner. When we rotate one revolution the chain slackens on the bottom and the chain jumps foward a link on the intake cam. has anybody had this problem and what to do to fix it?

Count the teeth on the camshafts. It's not jumping... you have the wrong cam on either the intake or the exhaust side.

Sounds to me like you are turning the engine backwards.

Are you sure you are rotating the engine the correct direction? I believe it should be rotated clockwise.

Thanks for the recommendations. I am turning clockwise but I will count the teeth.
