Default No spark trouble

Ok...been having trouble with a no spark situation in an 83 944 na. Replaced the coil and the ref. mark sensor with a used one from a running engine. Coil gets 12v to both terminals and never gets the ground pulse when cranking. Replaced the DME with one from a junkyard today, but still nothing. Is there any way to test the DME to see if its good? Am i missing something? Tried looking for alarm bypass wires, but can't find anything on the passenger floorboard remotely like described on Clark's Garage. This car is driving me nuts! HELP!

Look at the troubleshooting section at Clarks and try working thru that. I found it really helpful.

Start with the DME relay first. It is a dual relay that feeds spark and fuel signals. It is located in the upper relay panel, second relay from the left. It is usually a real pain to remove.
