Very nice, who supplied the parts to convert? Were the parts of good quality and did you need other mods to complete?

Also, is it a stock tranny? and how does it handle the extra power?

i got most of my parts from Renegade Hybrids. Ron Davis Radiator, HD clutch disk, coated headers, koni adjustables. I put a 944T tranny in with Torsen LSD. 18" wheels, new lighter seats, etc. Parts were decent quality. As i have modest mechanical skills and doing the work in my home garage, i needed RH to coach me through a few spots, but the work was worth it. I love taking this car through the gears.

I did a conversion last year, never, I repeat never will I do it again. Took quite a bit of work but the end result was totally professional.

My question is, how will the transaxle and transmission hold out with a Chevy v8 putting out 300+ HP. The pinion gears are VERY weak, the 968 is proof of this. I broke a pinion gear on my 86 944 na and I don't drive my car that hard. I can't imagine what a normally aspirated V8 with gobs of torque would do to it and the transmission likely wouldn't last either. The 944 turbos can be boosted to high HP numbers too but the power comes on differently with a turbo, not as much low end torque right off the low end as with large normally asprated V8.
