Default squeak while starting

Hi.

I have a problem (like in topic) When I start the car something is squeaking for very short time (0.5 sec maybe) but I'd never had it before so Im afraid something might broke. It's tough winter in here but a month ago was worst (-25 Centigrade) and the car started without problems.

I have the same problem. It's intermitent. Also too short to localize, but I don't think it's a belt. It sounds like it's coming from inside the cockpit. I'm all ears as to what it may be. Car runs fine, just makes that weird noise from time to time.

Darn! That is a hard one. I guess I will be "listening" to the car more.

I used to live in Lethbridge Alberta and Dauphin Manitoba where we had some very cold winters. and my other cars the belt would squeak during start up. that sounds like what your having there since it does get cold in finland, and my car didn't do it all the time it was jsut intermittint

Have you changed voltage regulator lately? At times a new unit squeals while it seats itself......Sounds just like a belt. Try treating your belts to a good belt dressing and see if that helps.

Easy one , take the accessory belt off and start the car, That will determine immediately if it is coming off one of the accessories or the belt. Once you know that you have halfed the problem.

It could be a roller also, my timing belt idler roller squeaked from time to time until I replaced it.
