Can anyone help me with the removal of the distributer cover. I unscrewed the two screws on the front where the plug wires go into but it did not want to budge do you have to pull hard or am I missing something. What I want to do is chrome the valve cover along with the distibuter cover so that they match like before. Does the timing belt cover have to come off in order to get the distributer cover off. Thanks for any help you can give me. Charles

As far as I remember it should come off easily, on its own, without any pulling effort.

Theres 3 screws on the S2 cap.

I was thinking of painting mine until I saw how much stuff I would have to take off.
You have to take off the black belt covers to get to the other screws that hold on the distibutor section of the cam belt cover that is painted. That is what is shown on the PET diagram.

It is not to difficult. Just a little time consuming.

Yea -- the third one is hidden behind the plug wires. Pull them out.
