Default Alternator cooling cowl hose

Does anyone know the diameter of the Alternator cooling cowl hose on a 1987 Porsche 944. I can’t believe that it was made specifically for Porsche. Their has to be a replacement that is less then $ 40.

I found a replacement black flexible hose that goes to the alternator at Autozone for around $10. If IIRC the ID is 2 3/8", but measure to be sure. Size is listed in the service manual, in mm or cm.

It is a 60mm ID. If you can find a 2 3/8" ID rubber hose it will be a hair bigger but you should be able to clamp it down tight.

Any more details on what to ask for when going to Autozone? Part number, description, manufacturer, or original intended use?
