Okay, so who are your favorites for 944 tuning around the US? Not turbo people, S2 tuners. You know, like people who raced the Firehawk cars.
Cmon now, somebody knows something around here

You may want to review this website: Jon Milledge Engineering (ran in the Firehawk series).

If you ask Dave he will tell you to stay as far away from anderson motorworks as possible. far far away. do a search.
you may have better luck searching the site for places to run from.

Another builder is Broadfoot Racing http://www.broadfootracing.com/. No affilliation and I don't know anything about them other than they are out there and I did watch them campaign a 944 turbo at the Daytona 24 hour race several years (4-6) ago.

Just looked at Braodfoot Racing, looks like they've rebuils a number of 3 liter 944 engines. THere's a local guy here, Auto-Edge, but they are very expensive.

A fresh motor vs a 125,000mi motor will make no diffrence in HP unless your car is not making good compression. Check compression and leakdown and see what they are before you spend lots of money on a rebuild.
