Well I did it I got the oil pan off and you called it.There it was #2 Conn rod clanking in the wind looks to me like the bearing was starved (sure it just stoped as said by the P.O.) and the spun and seized!! Oh well looks like my best option will be a used motor.
Thanks to all who helped solve my mystery of my 944 Any one have a cheap engine they want to sell me?

You may want to think about rebuilding the engine. Good chance to make some mods. A nice race cam would give you a little more top end, but lose some low end. I also put an autothority chip and ceramic coated headers, and a Borla exhaust. I have not Dynoed. yet, but definetly more than 150 HP. Tested it against an Acura RSX (non type R)
