Default Center Console Ignition Kill Switch... Possible?

I'm looking into the possibility of using one of my center console blanks for an ignition kill switch. Currently I have Rear Wiper, P Windows and P Sunroof switches in the console.

Can I buy, say, another power sunroof switch and wire it for an ignition kill switch? It is a 6 pole connector. Looked @ haynes wiring diagram - not much help. Anyone familiar with the pin-outs on these switches?

Hoping for a little direction.

Thanks in advance.

A couple of 944 owners in town use a standard toggle switch (like the one for the mirror selector) for a kill-switch. Just find a switch that will slip into the blank in the center-console, and run a by-pass wire from the positive side of your fuel pump. If the pump won't push gas, the car won't start.

Default power window switches in center console?

livewirevoodoo,

Did I read correctly that you have power window controls in your console? Did you relocate them from the doors?

If so, how difficult was this?

Sincerely,
Rick

Rich - you read it right, i just wrote it wrong, and didnt proofread. Sorry for the confusion. I meant power mirrors, not windows @ the center console.

it is certainly possible. Just wire it inline with the ignition or fuel wires. Also could do the starter.

Ther is a better way.
Out of the relay block, there is a small brown wire that feeds the DME relay.cut that and run it to the switch.I think it is a 5 volt wire.contols spark and fuel in the DME.
I forgot the relay # is is the one that is the small spade on the relay.
