Can anyone confirm or deni for that matter they type of brakes that are on a 1987 944 S? This was one of the years that the S still had the NA nose but 16 valve motor. I am trying to buy one long distance and the present owner is not too well versed in the Porsche area. Any input is appreciated as the exchange manual set i am looking at things get real funky starting in 87.

87-88 S brakes are the same as comparable 944 brakes. ABS was an option on both models. The brakes are sliding caliper (single piston). Essentially the same as the earlier 944 brakes with changes to accommodate the suspension geometry changes for ABS (late offset).
