Hello all. Not sure how to make a new post but I hope this reaches the right people. I have a 1987 944 and for some reason the car starts right up with no issues the first time around. If i take it for a drive, shut it off and wait a couple of minutes, it will have trouble starting back up. I am not sure what the problem is. The starter was recently replaced as well.
Thank you
Thank you

Your fuel pressure is leaking down, resulting in vapor lock.
Use a fuel pressure gauge to watch the fuel pressure after you turn off the engine. It should remain at 1.8 to 2.2 bar after 20 minutes. Causes of leaks, fule pressure regulator, fuel pressure damper, leaing fuel injector(s), fuel pump check valve.
