Alternator is not charging. I bypassed the blue exciter wire to the battery and alternator shows charging. I traced blue wire back to dash and have continuity from alternator to the round plug going into the gage. Battery light is not lit when key is in first position. Checked battery bulb and it works. Any comments on where to look next for potential problem. Could there be a problem with the gage?
