Injectors FLOODING engine
my '84 944 will not start.
Its getting lots fuel and spark.
If I unplug the wiring from all the injectors and crank the engine, then pull the spark plugs, the plugs are dry.
if I plug the wiring back into the fuel injectors and crank the engine, it will fire a bit then nothing. I pull the spark plugs and they are SOAKED.
I pulled the fuel rail with the injectors attached and the injector on #4 cylinder is leaking slightly (very minor though).
The Fuel pressure regulator is NEW.
I looked in at the AFM and the flapper is not stuck open.
I also tried having someone crank the engine over then I connected 2 injectors... it just seems to flood it right away.
One more thing that I noticed. It when the ignition is on as soon as I connect the wiring to one of the injectors I here it click. I think that maybe its going wide open right away.
Any ideas? is my DME shot?
thanks guys
Colin

so what does that mean?
I pulled the fuel rail this morning and jumped the fuel pump relay and the injectors sprayed continuously... without even cranking the engine.
