1985 944S Father and Son Project Ready to Dig In
#76
*** UPDATE ***
Hi All.
My son and i finished sanding and buffing the roof and hood nose section. I left the front bumper to him if he wants to tackle that at a later date on his free time.
Compare the final results to my photos in my 7/22/24 post above:
Hopefully my son has energy to start removing the dash. I did weld a small plate in the driver floor to rei force it and will be finishing that up with rust treatment today.
Take care.

Hi All.
Well we did not get the dash removed or even started but i did clear out all the boxes of parts in the passenger seat, washed the wet sanding residue and buffing compound away and took my son for his very first ride in his car around our neighborhood.
He was blown away at how it drove, shifted and sounded as we cruised a few blocks. Hopefully this gives hom some incentive to keep moving along on this resto project.
I would like to accomplish the following within the next two weeks:
1. Finish Welding and rust repair of floors and rockers.
2. Repaint lower rockers with black stone chip paint.
3. Touch up remaining scratches and paint chips
4. Install PORSCHE rear decal
5. Install wheel arch stone chip stickers
6. Remove both front seats and carpet sections.
7. Start removing dash.
I know it sounds like a lot but if we can knock out the welding and rust repairs the rest of this list will get done quickly.
Ill post more including detailed rocker repair soon.
