Have you looked on the drivers side door jam? If it hasn't been repainted there is a sticker there that list the factory specs. Or was it under the fuel filler? Anyway, it should be posted on the car.

Factory is 29 psi front/36 psi rear (doesn't change with size of wheel tire, this is the same as my 944S with 16" wheels).

I always run the same pressure front and rear, for street and auto-x. The car is the same weight per axle, so why not run the same front and rear?

I would expect less in the rear for better traction, but I usually have around 30/30

I think it should be 34lbs for all tires. Thats what I've been running. If it is different let me know.

<'I would expect less in the rear for better traction'> is pretty vague! & why not have better traction in the front too?
Too low of pressure and it gets 'loose' again, and can more easily overheat. I like 34 cold front and rear (which warms up to about 37 or 38) for street, and 33 or 34 warm for auto-x.
As your car is a bit lighter, I would bet you'd be safe anywhere between 30psi and 35 psi cold.

The "correct" preasure, which I think the question was for is.

As long as the car is still shod with the same type of rims, same type of tyres as came out with the car

then the Petrol flap shows what your psi should be,
not the haynes, not the workshop, not janet and john, or the waitress at chucky cheese !

My little tech-spec book for the 944S, S2 and 951s shows: 29fr and 36 rr for the S, 36 fr and rr for the S2 and turbo through '89, 36fr and 44 rr for 90 S2 and 951, and 36/36 again for '91 S2's. Why would a '90 S2 need 44psi rear when the '89 and '91 are supposed to have 36? (all pressures measured cold).

different tyres or rims ? other changes which happened (I dont know or think there were any), maybe the boyz at porsche decided this was now best.

90 rears are 225/50/16 on 8J 16 52mm offset , are 89/91 different ?

I'd always go with the fuel filler flap.
