Default Random Questions

I am doing some detail work on the 87' 944S.

1. How many gallons and what type of Anti-Freeze is needed when changing all the hoses?

2. Cannot find colored center caps for the factory 15" Phone dials. Everyone seems to sell or mention them in MM's. I have found the silver with Back crest.

3. I am getting the wheels powder coated. What is the period correct silver to use?

4. In reading Some are using rosella Diesel oil? is that for a viscocity issue?

Thank You,

Todd

I'll take a shot, but these are sort of hard questions for me which is why I haven't jumped in.

1) WSM says approx. 8.5 L of coolant for the system This post (https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...green-goo.html) indicates that G11 or earlier is the right way to go. I personally am a fan of the "universal" green stuff
2) Design911 (design911.co.uk) often have a few options for center caps. They have responded quickly to questions I've sent them, if you want to try that.
3) I believe that period silver is a Wurth color. I don't know what that correlates to for a powder color.
4) No idea. The most I know about this is to make sure that there is a high ZDDP number for what you use, or use a zinc additive.

Good luck

And even that is controversial. (FWIW, I go with high-ZDDP as I figure it's unlikely to hurt.)
