Default Maxilite rims

Hi everyone, I have searched through this forum and can't find the answer, but please forgive me if it's out there.

85.5 944NA. I can't stand those phone dials!!! I'd love to fit Maxilite 8 inch front, 9 inch rear. I know the arguments against Fuchs replicas: Cast vs. Forged, etc. but this is for mild road use and, really, how much trouble can a wheel get into with 150 ish HP anyway? Maxilite says 8 inch only fits on the rear axle of my car and says the 9 inch won't fit. At my local cars and coffee, there have been several people who have said that any 911 rim from the same or earlier era will fit and will work. Obvs my car is early offset.

Does anyone have an opinion? Thanks! Tim.

you should take a look on www.willtheyfit.com

you can input your current wheels and offsets, and put in the wheel you wisch to mount. They show you how much the wheel will move towards the inside and outside.
Also it will tell you how much your speed will change etc.

I'm running a 9J front and rear setup with no rubbing. front is fender flush... mine is late offset though.
