Cargo Cover
Hi everyone,
I'm new here. I bought my oldest son a nice 1983 944 for his graduation. It's all original and really cool. Anyway, I wanted to ask everyone a question.
I bought a really nice cargo cover off Ebay for the car. I ordered the aluminum end caps. I wanted to ask. Does only one side of the pole that the tarp rolls up on have a spring ? I hope so. The one I bought has a spring in one side only. The other side is an empty hollow tube without the end cap on.
I just wanted to ask the community to see if I am missing something on that end. The end cap was missing from that end when I received it from the seller. Thanks

Yes, you are missing the end if the pole, which is a cap that has a pivot pin which sits in the aluminum end cap.
To get an idea of what you are missing, look at a roller shade that is typically sold for windows.
It should look like this, where the "round pin" is identified.
