BAD UPPER STRUT BUSHINGS SYMPTOMS

how do you know when its time to replace these rubbers?
just did complete control arms rebuild and wondering how to check if these bushings are shot
car sat for ten yrs w out being driven

My conclusion was that 34 years on it was time. That being said, the originals don't look too bad....
(Still painting my suspension bits, so I don't have them in yet. When they do go in, they'll be going in with a refresh of all the other rubber bits, so I still won't know if they made any difference or not.)
