Today driving down the highway I felt slight hesitation but barely noticeable at highway speed once car slowed down it stalled and restarted when I pressed the accelerator so I kind of drove it with one foot on gas other on brake so car wouldn’t stall out again came to a complete stop smelling burning odor put in spare DME relay no help swapped AFM and DME with known good parts no help . Now I’m wondering if it could be fuel pump or timing off maybe a few teeth ? Any suggestions helps

Where's the burning odour coming from? Brakes? Engine? Fusebox? Somewhere else?
