x-post non airbag dash install on 88 951
question about putting 86 dash in 88 951
I'm finally on the backside of my dash replacement project. My car is an airbag car and I'm putting a non airbag dashboard in. I'm noticing some differences with mounting points. Notably the side mounts facing the doors only have one bolt instead of two that the 88 dashboard had. The one hole also seems smaller than the other two. Also the center mount bracket doesn't line up with the new dash either. Has anyone else done this swap before? I think Tony G has and I will PM him, I'm just looking to get this done tonight. Hopefully someone has gone through this before.
In other news, my new long block is headed here as we speak, so hopefully this long road to getting this car going will soon be over.
