Default 84 944 heavy left turn

Can anyone point me in the right direction to solve my heavy steer when turning to the left. I seem to have assist turning right but left is much heavier. Recent work done. Rebuilt the PS pump as it was leaking. Using ATF dexron 3 . Installed both new tie rods and alignment done. Dont recall if problem existed prior to recent work that was done. Should my focus be on the pump again or the rack? Thanks in advance.

Was the rack taken off the car and/or apart? Jack up the front of the car, with engine off test if the problem is still there.

Did you check the intermediate steering shaft with a universal joint on each end? My 1983 race car had a lumpy feel to the steering wheel when turning right but not left. Upon inspection, the lower joint in one axis was very stiff in rotation.

Had the front end up and no issues turning both ways. Im stumped as I have no leaks and ATF was flushed and new fluid put in

Sounds odd. Maybe something on the teeth of the rack on that side, but Im shooting in the dark here. From the hip, too.
