Default wheels

can someone help me out?

My 86 944na has chrome fuchs on it. I thought they were 15x7's, but it has 15x8's in the rear. Are they anything special or just something regular. i wanted to get some 16x7's. should i or just keep the 15's?

Please I need some input.

I'm using 215/60's in the front and back. I would like to get either 225's or 235's if they fit. when i get a pic i will post it to show u. hopefully today.

8 & 7 x 15 Fuchs are nothing special. They do sell for a little more than the Phone Dials, and a lot more than the Cookie Cutters. I personally think they look great, specially if they are chromed. I also like them gold or black. I don't really like them in white or red, though some people like them that way. I had a red 84 944 with gold Fuchs, and I thought it looked great. You can usually get $650 or so for a good set of Fuchs, at least I have sold two sets for about that.

This is a personal opinion, but I would keep them, and put 245-50 15's on the back and 225-50-15's on the front. But only if I was only going to use them on the street. There is too much difference front to rear diameter size, and if you tried to use them on the track, you would lock up the fronts too easily, unless you could bias the brakes more to the rear. But I think they look cool, as they are pretty low profile. Kuhmo and BFG are the only companies that make the 245-50-15's as far as I know. They are the same diameter as the 215-60-15's, but the 225-50-15's are smaller, which will make the speedo read off on the early cars. Somebody told me the later cars run the speedo off the rear, though I don't know that for sure. If the speedo runs off the rear on your car, then it would be accurate with the 245-50-15's.

What you have looks great, I would keep them. Again, personal opinion. Try lower profile tires for a more modern look.
