84' 944 heater control valve
Need to replace the heater control valve, as I get heat when shut off. I did check the cable throw, and it looks ok, so a new valve is on order.
It looks like the easiest way to replace this is to remove the intake manifold, and for those that have been there, what surprises am I in for?
I already have manifold gaskets, what else should be on my shopping list?
Thanks, Greg.

If you remove the intake it is a good time to replace all of the vacuum hoses under the intake. Also a good time to remove, clean and test the idle air control valve under there as well. Clark's Garage website and Youtube both have the procedure for that.
