I need to find this engine a new home. My mechanic friend that was helping me part it out is being booted from his shop space by his landlord. I need it gone asap. It has just under 125,000 miles on it and back in 2001 about $5000 was spent rebuilding the top half of the engine with new headgaskets and a few other bits. I have the receipts somewhere at home that came with the car when I bought it about 2 years ago. Its been sitting for a while but its fairly clean. The only parts not included are the intake plastic tubes and the top cover for the air filter as it is cracked and I tossed it. I might have an extra if that helps seal the deal.
I'm looking to get $1,200 OBO.
I can also cut the entire front half of the car off leaving all of the other lines and parts inside the engine bay if there is someone looking to gather as much as possible for an engine fire resto. I'll cut at the floor board and base of the a-pillars after I remove the glass, doors, and fuse panel and harness. The fenders are gone along with the front bumper, support, lights, steering and suspension, and cooling elements. I can arrange for LTL freight and crate everything up if you desire extra protection. We can discuss pricing if there is an interested party.

Why were you parting the car out?
How did it run before? Did it burn any oil?

I bought the car for parts. Already sold the 5 speed transmission. I needed the doors for another project. Don't need the engine. Never heard it run so I can't comment on oil consumption.
There was am Aussie guy on here recently looking for a motor. That price is pretty good and a good shipping broker could get it here to AU fairly priced I'd imagine.
