Default Looking for this connector

I am looking for a plastic connector for a 1989 Porsche 928 S4 Automatic Transmission. It is basically a plastic nut that helps connect the cable to the transmission. Does any one know were to get this or have the specs on how to remake it? Also what happens if I drive with this cable disconnected? Thanks

The white locking ring shown is part of the reverse lamp/lockout switch. A new switch is about $170 IIRC.
The car shouldn't start if the cable is disconnected unless someone installed the jumper in the CE panel that is used for the manual trans cars.

Does the new switch even come with the white locking ring?

I believe so, but a quick call to one of the Big 3 938 vendors will confirm.

I think he's asking for the part that mates with the ring on the switch. That's part of the harness.

Then why is he asking this?
