This risky business and decision has been consuming my thoughts as well.

Update on what I have done. I tried the M8 TimeSert and that did not work so anyone contemplating that will hopefully read this. What happens is when I tried to torque to spec the TimeSert was ripped in two and tried it twice just to make sure I didn't do something wrong.

What worked.. I drilled and tapped all 6 to M10 x 1.5 and used 10.9 strength flange bolts. I did all of them because I wanted to keep the TC as balanced as possible. The flex-plate will almost accommodate an M10 and was drilled to 10.5 mm. I was able to get the transaxle reinstalled yesterday. Now I can move my focus to reinstalling the engine.

Thanks MrMerlin. Will do! I dropped the engine in after work yesterday. Now just a matter reattaching everything to it.
