Engaging Chenet, or any other shooter at that level, is generally no small affair. I'll reach out to Drooman and see where we go from there. I agree there is a good story here—just need to think about the how/when/who before committing significant monetary resources to telling it the right way.

Here are some amazing photos from the press launch, courtesy of Leonard Turner

This is how close #1 & 6 are in lineage.

#1 is one of these four, which one is she?

In answer to your question Jim, rhetorical though it may be.

Using this photo and the tree in the background as a reference, she is 2nd from the left as we view it, providing of course, the cars were not moved between shots, (it does not appear as though they were).

Kiwi, nice connection btw photos by Turner and Rusz. I love this kind of dialogue.
Chances are likely you are correct in your fair assumption, however it appears that in the meantime (as it were), someone parked a white econobox where a red 928 was.
Maybe Joe Rusz and John Lamm took #6 out for a spin.

Truly wonderful car & incredible story!

Some guys have all the luck! The only good thing I ever found on Craigslist was a glass patio door.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if the Porsche family reaches out at some point to try to buy the car and bring It back to Germany for the museum or the family's collection. Such a cool artifact!

They would likely have the best chance at an "interesting trade"

Or, Jim, perhaps Leonard and John had manoeuvred the cars in such a way as to provide subterfuge for Joes little faux pas with a certain teal coloured number...

I was under the impression that Jim had reached out to Porsche and got a response that could be described as "lukewarm" at best.

I see the pics of it in the parking lot, and when Tony was riding around in it and marvel at the fact that it's an almost certainty that nobody who sees it out there has any understanding of what they are seeing.

^^Funny you should mention that. Someone almost pulled out in front of # 1 while we were in a rotory and Droo muttered "you really don't want to hit this car" T
