Speechless was the first word, then came amazed, followed by happienss - the latter which actually came first when Droo expressed interest in acquiring #1 from me.
It was perfect timing. And the perfect next parent.
I'm seriously deeply moved by Droo's efforts and ambition for #1, from the onset... and now I'm just blown away!
I have more to say and pics to show, but will leave for now with a thanks for the kind acknowledgements,
and congrats for the serious effort put forth to bring this special car back to life again. Well done sir!

Today, 7-6-17. #1 takes its first purposeful drive in over 20 years... a stop at my favorite local gourmet grocery store.

It is great to see such an historic car used as intended by Ferry Porsche.

I'm surprised I never saw that Craigslist post as I lived near New Bern NC at that time... and I'm always looking. lol

My 78 has also been Federalized with fender turn signals and a PS mirror. Tell me what method(s) you used to repair/fix/fill the holes please.

Will you be convoying out in your turbo with Tony and I?
Thanks Bob, No caravan for me I need to get #1 out there on Tuesday as it has a full schedule of events. Leaving the turbo at home, just don't want to deal with taking care of two cars down there.

Easy for him to "intend"...since "he" wasn't the one keeping things clean...lol.

Car looks great though.

Beautiful, almost surreal having observed those "early" photos taken so many years ago at its inception, to now seeing it in a supermarket car park in 2017, looking, might I add, as fantastic as it did back then!!
An absolute credit to you.

Great job.

Congrats.

This car is truly part of the Porsche 928 history.

Amazing to see it on the road and in this very nice shape.

Is Pano editor Rob Sass going to be at PVGP? This is no doubt worthy of a Pano article.... or even Excellence.
