I just like that clean look.
I agree. This car has the best unimpeded 360 view of any car I have owned.

Hi,

Just for the record, in Portugal all the 928's sold, even the very earlier ones, had the right side exterior mirror from factory.
Don't really know why but I assume that was already required by the law at that time.
Today I know it is.

Regards

And the body is too clean to be able to delete the drivers side mirror and replace it with a camera hidden somewhere,
Panamera style

All Uk RHD cars had two mirrors from the start, would have been kind of stupid to drive around with only a passenger side mirror !

Sorry Ken, not correct methinks, my Silver '79 Euro was delivered from the factory with only the drivers side (RHD) side mirror.

According to information I received from the factory, the option for the right electric mirror was listed as:
261 AUSSENSPIEGEL.PLAN.VERSTELLBAR

But I have it mentioned in english (info from factory) as:
261=electric mirror right

My '78 federalized car has the same door panel as the one in post #20. Because I don't have a rocker switch above the "joystick", does that suggest that the passenger side mirror was added later?

I do like the clean look of no passenger mirror. Very cool!

The best way to be sure would be to ask a certificate of authenticity from Porsche. If the passenger side mirror is not listed, then your car was certainly delivered with just the driver side.

I have seen cars with dealers added passenger side mirrors.
