If an 85 has one, then mines burned out. I pulled side carpet panel but couldn't see much in there. If there is one in there for my year can I get to it from side? How exactly? I searched but couldn't find any photos.

No should be on tach gauge. You can retrofit one from an earlier car, but not sure why.
