I have (an Electrical) Riddle
OK- trying this again- thought I had solved this issue by soldering a wire and tightening a plug into the controller under the Driver's Seat. There is obviously some weird issues with 90 and above cars and Windows doing weird things. Here are the symptoms;
Everything will be fine and I’m driving along when;
1) Spontaneously, the Passenger window will roll down just about a quarter inch, stop, and then will be inoperable in either direction.
2) The driver side window also stops working simultaneously
3) Then some erratic chatter noises commence from the Controller under the driver seat
4) When I push either window switch there is a regular "tick tick" noise from the controller as along as the switch is depressed- but windows do nothing.
5) All of this also carries on without the key in the car
6) The battery will start draining
7) Then, if I either i) pull Fuse # 25 (Diagnostic Connector, Current Pulse- Tailgate, Interior Lights) which also becomes quite warm OR ii) unhook the battery for about 20 minutes and then replace the Fuse or re-connect the battery, respectively, it’s like a "re-set" takes place and everything will work fine until the next spontaneous occurrence. Also, if I only pull the Fuse or disconnect the battery for about 5 min, it will not do the re-set-seems to need at least 20 min or so..
Both window motors have been checked and all connections running into doors and door pins...
Any suggestions appreciated
