Good event stuff doesn't "just happen", it's the result of some thought and planning, plus execution by the thinkers and planners and their gathered team. Think and plan, gather a team! Well Said.

this is my attitude, Anyone can step up and run an event or part of an event.

I do events management in m day job, so it tends to come automatically, but that day job tends to get in the way too.

Last year I organized the formal dinner for us all at Jagerhaus, with Norcal 928 picking up part of the tab for the appetizers and brought and made the coffee that morning at Marks Shop.

This year I cant do the dinner due to work- I am still planning to come, but no car and leaving for NYC the next day.

Still plan to do coffee tho!

Trip is penciled on the calendar, but actual decision will be driven by weather .or. a client need. It's overnight temps in the low 20's here already. Wx prediction has a storm mid-week, and if that causes ODOT to put de-icer (salt slurry) down on the roads, my 928 driving season is instantly terminated. My fall "work" calendar has been kept empty on purpose from my end, but a client emergency is looming. I'll know more as the week evolves.

Still standing by for suggestions on daytime clinic subjects. Plan is to bring a parasitic-drain-detection toolkit because it's small and it's an easy subject to demonstrate.

I will take on the dinner planning Sunday night unless someone else has started the planning or if someone prefers they do it.
Could a few of you suggest a range of food cost per person that will minimize backlash at the organizer? Lastly, how far a distance from Embassy Suites would be acceptable, Anaheim is not known for their food, nightlife and ambience, just their Ducks NHL team, Greg's Precision global headquarters and of course Mark's 928 International.
You might want to make the dinner plans for Saturday night. Most folks are gone by Sunday. We're looking forward to seeing you all.

Cheers,
Sue

My son and I decided today to attend. Driving down from SLC on Friday. What time is the get-together in the lounge?

BTW, I see the Embassy Suites is sold out. Anybody with a suggestion for alternate location?

John --

Get on their standby list if you can. Others who find themselves needing to cancel at the last minute should share that here so latecomers can pick up the room.

Else: Google the Embassy Suites and Hotels and you find everything in the area and more. You will be just a little north and east of Disneyland, so there's plenty of hotel capacity in the area.

Thanks Bob. That is what my said, too.

As a backup, I booked at the Marriott Townplace down by the Angels stadium. $151 per night there, in case anybody else is in the same situation. Quite a bit cheaper than right in the immediate Disney area.

The ES units are two separate room suites. I will be glad to let someone use my front roomS, that has a fold out couchbed thing, if someone wants.

One or two people could use the room (couch floor/etc)

If that helps. Im there Friday and Saturday night, I have -2- rooms (kid and BF in room 2) where someone could use the front area.

If my 83 also comes down, my daughter may do a pod removal, and swap in Rogers new foil-replacement hardware for the gauges, and replace the speedo gear.

I may also swap in a Devek front swaybar, and show what the required mount braces look like that I welded in a few weeks ago.

Question is, should these be pre lunch when everyone is socializing, or post lunch??

Contact Mark A directly to coordinate event sessions. I am not involved directly in the event, and there's a growing chance that I won't be there. Client decision Monday/Tuesday drives the drive scheduled for Thursday. Wx appears to be cooperating at least at this end.
