BC: I do not show that you ever bought headers from us. I only show that you purchased header flanges (for making your own headers) from us a couple years back. That's it.

To clarify:

1) our Header-X is designed to fit our 928MS headers.

2) it is possible that our Header-X will fit a pair of MSDS headers of the earlier, long collector style, if you happen to get a set of those headers that are identical to those MSDS were making for us at that time. But we stopped making those a couple years ago.

If you want to give it a try, go ahead. But hold up the Header-X to your headers (don't install it) to see if it will fit so it does not get scratched up and you can return it.

3) The Header-X is positional. One leg is longer than the other and the angles are different too. That's to match where the header flanges ended up. So if it doesn't fit, FLIP IT OVER and look at it again.

Since we're talking about headers anyway, what would replacing stock manifolds with heat wrapped full length headers gain, HP wise? What other benefits?

Brett,

I have MSDS headers on the Stepson and I wrapped them. The benefits? Seat of the pants feel of more power. I can't tell you dyno specifics because I didn't dyno pre installation and probably won't dyno post because of that.

Wrapping the headers has made the passenger compartment feel cooler which I attribute to the insulation value of the wrap sending the heat farther back of the car before it escapes.

The bad thing about the headers is that one of the headers has to be loosened at the engine to allow ANY kind of work to be done at the clutch area. The lower cover absolutely cannot be removed with both headers intact. (At least that is my experience).

Stan, Sorry for any hijack. I was just trying to answer the question posed.

If I didn't already have headers on both my 16 valve cars, and X-pipes on both my 32 valve cars, those headers would be in my garage.

hey the more info the better.

I didnt see the page BC posted I found a picture on Ebay that looked like the headers I have and it mentioned they are for the early 32V engines
I guess these will also fit the S4.
I have not had these headers on any engine,
they appear to have a jet hot coating on them ,
and they dont look rusted,
and they might have been on an engine and run.
