Yet another cam cover question
Would it be wise to put DC111 between the bolt and the rubber Valve Cover Bolt Thrust Ring? I did read something about twisting the rubber and tearing it. Would it be better than motor oil? WSM is unclear and just seams to show an illustration.

yes it would be a good idea to use DC111 on the securing bolt rubber,
the rubber will then turn as it needs

Yup. Both sides of the rubber pressure gasket. You want the pressure washer to be able to turn freely on the rubber and the rubber to turn and seat freely into the cover.
You can use any rubber lub. I use stuff that's glycerin-based. (Astro Glide actually )

Thanks Guys, Now I know I'm on the right track. I appreciate it. So many little tricks. Just don't want to take a shot in the dark and end up learning the hard way.
